Savic, who is currently on the books at Fiorentina, is Atleti boss Diego Simeone’s preferred choice to fill the defensive berth that was recently vacated by Miranda, who joined Inter.
However, Simeone will face a fight to land him as AS says Manchester United, Arsenal and Liverpool are all keen on the centre back, who left City in 2012.
Fiorentina, who are a seeking a fee of €15m for the Montenegrin, have rejected an offer from Zenit St Petersburg for the defender.
